40/04 in collaboration with Pixley Printhouse are proud to present Questioning Print.

Inspired by digital prints ubiquitous everyday use, Design Studio 40/04 began an extended discussion surrounding contemporary attitudes towards Digital Print, both how it is used, as well as perceived by others.

The result of this exploration was an invitation for designers and artists to express these conversations through printed outcomes. Each participant was sent an open brief: to ‘Question’ digital print, in any form they felt appropriate.

The exhibition explores the nature and possibilities of digital print within contemporary Art and Design practice. Whether it is transforming a 2-Dimensional design into 3 Dimensions , or revealing and manipulating the source code that underpins modern printing, all of the work featured questions and investigates the value, use and qualities of digital printmaking.
